The Cliff

It was a cliff
but we thought we wouldn't fall
out of precaution
we took a rope to be safe
in case one of us sliped

while we were walking
the air got heavy
the wind got stronger
the rain started falling

we took the rope in our hands
you held one side
I held the other

The more we walked
more it got hard
until I sliped

I thought you would hold it
but you sliped to the other side

It was then we realised

This rope is too thin to hold us both
