Can we blame them?
*Essay sobre Animals Invaders realizada para fins acadêmicos.
Recently a lot of researches about animal invaders are being developed and studied. Most of them show us a point of view that makes the animals the “bad guys” in this subject, but are they? Is it the animals fault? Or humans fault? Is there a way to find the guilty one? Is there somebody to blame? Or is just another case of the nature?
The natural world was made to attend particularly the needs of every species. The animal that needs cold lives in a cold place. The animal that needs to eat fruit lives in a place full of trees. The animal that needs to feed from foods in the water lives surrounded by it or in it. And that has been the way that the earth deal with animals since the ever. There were some special cases when only the animals that could adept to a new way of life survived, but those were made by the earth so it could be manage by the nature.
Nowadays, that’s not what happens. Obviously the clime is changing and with it, the earth, but that’s not something that the animals did, or the earth or anything natural, it was us, human beings. As it wasn’t already enough for animals to adept in their new clime, humans started to literally change them from the natural habitats to a completely different one. Why? Most of it because of money and policy. By doing so, sometimes it ends up badly and the “invader specie” destroys the new habitat. So, is it a simple new case of nature? No.
The destruction is not only about the new habitat, but the old one. There would be no bad outcome in the new, if the old wasn’t changed and by doing so, destroyed. At the end of the day, the only “invader species” is human race. We moved the animals to another place. They didn’t ask for it, it was human will, and power, and ambition, that brought they there. Even the cases that the animals moved themselves to a different place, it was because we already had destroyed the first one.
Now, is there a way to find the guilty one? Yes, by thinking. This is not the animals fault, because they don’t think, they do. They have an instinct that is connected with their habitat, and changing their habitat won’t change their instinct. Every animal fight for survival, and they will do wherever it takes to reach it, no matter what they are destroying. So they don’t know what they’re doing, but we do, because we think.
In conclusion, the “animal invaders” as they like to call it, is not doing anything different from what they were made for, so they are not the “bad guys” here. To stop the destruction, we have to stop changing what the earth already established so many ages ago. We already do enough with pollution and deforestation, last not make this even harder to nature.
